i agree with this...wether you wanted obama or not, i figured he was gonna be in becouse of the mindset of the average american...economy's bad, the wars not over, oil went stupid, forclosures, layoff's...he was done before it started. jesus himself coulda ran as a republican and he would of lost!

If McCain would have put someone in there that was a typical white, republican form DC - he would have lost by a greater percentage. What is interesting is Palin is essentially the same as Obama - little experience with a pretty face; Obama just had the media covering his ass.

I think Trip is right. This was the Democrats to lose because Bush has trashed the Republican name. McCain wasn't really running on policy though, he was running on his past (his heroism and experience) and I think he failed at offering a contrast of beliefs and policy against a great articulating politician.
