TweetOk, i'm 42 and been lifting and cycling since mid 20's. Tis the season get pumped and ripped for the early vacation and summer. I am real good in the off season with training and dieting so my bf stays pretty good at approx 15% and will go to approx 11-13% and possibly lower.
A few months back i hurt my shoulder, went to my hot asian chick doc and she told me i had a touch of arthritis (i offered to strip down entirely but she said it was not necessary). I layed off the workout for about 2 weeks and started taking liquid Glucosamine/Chondroiton/MSN religously. I have not had any pain but my bones, especially in my shoulders are clicking and making noises.
Any of you older gents have the same issue?

Tweetfrom what I have been told by some orthopedist book, it is clicking andf popping is ok so long as it doesnt have PAIN associated with it...from my own experience, I have seen people get popping of joints when their bodyfat dips way down in single digits. Tendons will tend to snap over a bump on a bone.
Tweetyeah my knees are for **** now... i cant even run on the treadmill.. had my 4th knee surgery 2yrs ago,.. vioxx used to help alot til they stopped making it..

Tweetright shoulder gives me a fit here and there...i just work around it. lighter weight, higher reps, shorter time between sets...then, i start working my way back up till i get to the point that it's bothersome again...probobly not the way a doc would say to do it....but i just go with what works!

Tweetim forty in few months and not long ago my shoulder was killing me on bench so i had a guy come over to gym that does bench comps all time and i moved my arms and elbows closer to my body when i bench i now i have no pain at all !
If bigger is better then im better than ever !

TweetBoth knees creak and pop,left shoulder has a pop during presses,both elbows are sore, lower back has had S1 & L5 bulged out. Do I need to continue?
I just turned 50 and have no indication that I want to stop lifting like I am used to doing.
