The problem IMO is that every countrys history books are different. Honestly have you read other countrys high school or even college level history books? Even the countrys in europe the books are written differently. Not that it is spin either way but for so many kids and adults they believe that what they learned from school is accurate. It usually is IN THEIR COUNTRY Some just dont make the connection that history is never completely accurate, not in the least.
This is a very good point that I'm not sure many people would think about or realize. I know from my own experiences when I was in Europe. In Germany there are still a few people (mostly old people) that still don't believe the holocaust really happened. It definitly depends on who's feeding you the info
